Shaun Richardson

Shaun Richardson

Shaun Richardson's interest in music sparked at the young age of 2 by watching his uncle perform in a country western band. This influenced him to start playing music and was given his first fiddle at the age of 4. It was clear he was born a prodigy when discovered that he had perfect pitch and by the age of ten he mastered the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass, banjo and piano among many others. For the past 13 years, Shaun has been in the country group, Cats and the Fiddler consisting mainly of his twin brother James, cousin Carmen, and himself. The award winning band has played for thousands of audiences and maintained a dedicated fanbase over the years, with highlights consisting of playing at Mitt Romney's Presidential Rally and receiving multiple Detroit Music Awards nominations. Shaun has shared the stage with many artists over the years, including country artists Michael Martin Murphey, Anita Cochran, Dailey and Vincent, Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers, Post Monroe, Billy Dean, and many more. Now at the age of 21, Shaun can play over 20 instruments and continues to amaze audiences with each one he plays as inspired by great instrumentalists such as Brad Paisley, John Mayer and Chris Thile. Shaun's smooth baritone voice compliments any song he sings and captivates audiences when he plays original music.  You can currently catch Shaun on the road touring with Dailey & Vincent as lead guitar player. There is no doubt that anyone watching Shaun cannot identify the expertise and sense the passion and love he has for music.
