Making music is a true passion which you'll realize when you watch Jimmy play. The multi-instrumentalist was raised on a rural west central Wisconsin (Pleasantville,WI) dairy farm, where Country music was relatable to his family's everyday, hardworking life.

Whether driving a tractor, milking the cows, or throwing hay bales, music was always playing somewhere within ear's reach. His dad has been a big musical influence in his life and the reason music runs through his blood. At the age of four he learned to play the violin and by elementary school Jimmy had taught himself how to play the banjo, guitar, and mandolin. Growing up and sitting in with his dad's classic country band allowed him to perfect his talents. Jimmy has great memories of his youth playing in local parades and town festivals. All of those opportunities led to his first road gig when he was only 15 and has been playing on the road nonstop ever since.

In the fall of 2006 after deciding to leave the local bands behind, Jimmy made the move to Nashville. He has been a member of the group, Ricochet; was touring this Summer with RCA artist, Catherine Britt on the Brooks & Dunn / Alan Jackson Tour '07; as well as toured with Danielle Peck. He is no stranger to the studio either, recording with some of the best session players Nashville has to offer. Jimmy is currently touring with Carrie Underwood.

Jimmy plays a Weber Bitterroot F Mandolin, Black Ice Mandolin and Arch Top Octar.
