About Michael Eck
Roots scholar and multi-instrumentalist Michael Eck has four solo albums of original songs, and has recorded and performed with the likes of Pete Seeger; Patti Smith; Aimee Mann; John Sebastian; Peter Case; Leigh Gibson (The Gibson Brothers); Jason Ringenberg (Jason & The Scorchers); Happy Traum; banjo master Bill Keith; Robert Buck, John Lombardo and Mary Ramsey (10,000 Maniacs); and producer Jon Brion.
As a mandolinist, Eck, based in Albany NY, has appeared on nearly 20 albums, and currently plays with Lost Radio Rounders, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Tin Can Alley, Good Things, Spancilhill and Berkshire Ramblers.
