I enjoy my Custom Vintage A so much that I can't even put it down when I should be working in the orchard.  Here I am playing in our Asian pear orchards in Southern New Jersey.  As you can see, the trees are in bloom, so I should be blossom thinning, but instead, I am playing my Weber mandolin.  I don't know that the fruit grows any better when I play for the trees, but it can't hurt.
Prior to my Weber, I had a Pacific Rim instrument.  When it was time to upgrade, I really wanted an instrument from a U.S. builder, preferably from a small, family-run shop.  As a family farmer, I value that type of business.  Weber fit the bill perfectly.  Their local dealer, Todaro's Music in Lansdowne, PA, was great to deal with and had Weber instruments in stock for me to try.  And the folks at Weber were right there on the phone to answer my many questions.  My Custom Vintage A is great for the music I play, mostly 17th century British and French songs, and traditional music from South America and Spain.  Allan Alexander's great music books really got me hooked on the South American and Spanish music!
So, my Weber Custom Vintage A was a great choice for me.  I couldn't be any happier with this instrument!
