Zach Runquist

Born and raised in the heart of Music City, I knew at the age of 10 that music would be my lifelong passion. At an early age I was first exposed to the recording studio while working on the first record for the "Sons of Tennessee" - which consisted of my father and older brother. I intensely watched Bruce Watkins, a veteran session musician at work. He played so many instruments!  He would put one down and pick another up to play an overdub. It was through that recording project and watching the producer (Eddy Bell) and engineer (John Nicholson - Hilltop Studio in Nashville) at work that got me hooked.

My biggest influences into the music business are my parents and older brother, all accomplished musicians from whom I learned at a young age to be the person I am today - both musically and personally.

I have had the opportunity to perform and record with many artists. Some career highlights include performing with Symphony Orchestras across the U.S. with guest artist the "Sons of Tennessee," as well as performing on the Ryman Auditorium and Grand Old Opry Stages.  During a 3-year tour stint with Craig Morgan, I was privileged to be able to entertain our troops on numerous U.S. bases, as well as bases in Japan, Guam, Kuwait, and Iraq.  I've also had the pleasure of performing on national television programs such as American Idol, Good Morning America, the Ellen Degeneres Show, the Today Show, and Fox and Friends.

I am currently the band leader for Lauren Alaina.  I play fiddle, mandolin, and acoustic and electric guitar, dobro, and sing with her.  I also produce custom records, write songs, and do session work.

I'm very thankful for the companies below, who support me!
