"“My first experience with a Weber was several years ago. When I decided to get serious about playing mandolin as part of our act I realized I needed an upgrade. I stopped by Acoustic Music in Salt Lake. Although they didn’t typically carry Weber mandolins at the time, they had an almost new Weber A Style Gallatin with a mahogany back that had been traded in just a few days before. I picked it up and played for about two hours there in the store then went home to convince my wife who is also my musical partner that I had found the instrument. I smiled for weeks.  Since then I have added an F style Black Ice model to our family. Special thanks to Bruce and Mary Weber for donating this fine instrument as a prize in the National Mandolin Championship held at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS. I knew as soon as the prizes were announced which instrument I hoped to choose and was thrilled I got the chance! I play in both standard and open tunings so having two excellent mandolins is a must for our performances.”

His original songs meld folk tradition with modern dilemmas in a way that delights and refreshes audiences.
